Knights Korner
December 15th update

This month we highlight contributions that the Elder Council Knights of Columbus has made in support of local Community organizations that help those among us in need.

Measure Up
Each year, the Knights of Columbus solicit donations on behalf of local institutions that support individuals with mental or physical disabilities. This year, Elder Council participated in the flagship charity of the Knights of Columbus raising $650 by collecting at local Kroger stores. On October 31, several Knights including Kurt Kaufman, Tom Hahn, Al Stevenson, and John Holden presented a check to Greg Ernst, Executive Director, St. Rita School for the Deaf.

VA Collection
On Veteran's Day weekend, before and after Mass, Elder Council organized a collection of Personal Care items on behalf of the Veteran's Administration. Thanks to the generosity of St. Gertrude parishioners, we not only collected several boxes of goods but $450 in cash donations as well! On November 19, Elder Council Grand Knight Fred Bowling presented the donated items plus a check to Tracy Butts, Chief of Voluntary Service at the VA Medical Center.
