Confraternity of the Holy Rosary Sign Up

Do you pray the Rosary every day? The St. Gertrude Chapter of the confraternity of the rosary will be enrolling new members during the special event “An Evening with Our Lady of the Rosary which begins at 7pm on Saturday, Oct 7, 2017, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Members of the confraternity make a commitment (which does not bind under pain of sin) to pray at least the original fifteen mysteries of the rosary at least once every week for the rest of their life, and to include in the intentions of each rosary the intentions of every other member of the confraternity throughout the whole Church. In return, members of the confraternity benefit, both in this life and in purgatory, from the prayers of every member of the confraternity throughout the world, from a share of the prayers of the Dominican Order, and, in a particular way, from the prayers of all of the Saints in Heaven. When a member of the confraternity prays the rosary, even when he prays alone, he is no longer praying as one person, but is praying in communion with the whole church. You can be enrolled in the confraternity whether you are a parishioner of St. Gertrude or not. You can be enrolled even if you can not attend the ceremony, though the enrollment ceremony is highly encouraged. You can read more about the confraternity at http://rosaryconfraternity.org/. If you would like to be enrolled, please fill out the registration form on our website at http://www.stgertrude.org/ConfraternitySignUp. As a part of the enrollment ceremony, new enrollees receive a blessed medal, rosary and candle. Please also consider helping us to offset the cost of these items by making a free will offering of $10. For more information Email rosary@stgertrude.org.
