Confraternity of the Holy Rosary Sign Up

Do you pray the Rosary every day? The St. Gertrude Chapter of the confraternity of the rosary will be enrolling new members at a special mass at 11:30 am on Saturday, May 13th. Members of the confraternity make a commitment (which does not bind under pain of sin) to pray at least the original fifteen mysteries of the rosary at least once every week for the rest of their life, and to include in the intentions of each rosary the intentions of every other member of the confraternity throughout the whole Church. In return, members of the confraternity benefit, both in this life and in purgatory, from the prayers of every member of the confraternity throughout the world, from a share of the prayers of the Dominican Order, and, in a particular way, from the prayers of all of the Saints in Heaven. When a member of the confraternity prays the rosary, even when he prays alone, he is no longer praying as one person, but is praying in communion with the whole church. You can be enrolled in the confraternity whether you are a parishioner of St. Gertrude or not. You can be enrolled even if you can not attend the Mass, though the enrollment ceremony is highly encouraged. You can read more about the confraternity at http://rosaryconfraternity.org/. If you would like to be enrolled, please fill out the registration form on below.

As a part of the enrollment ceremony, new enrollees receive a blessed medal, rosary and candle. While not required, a free will offering of $10 would help us to offset the cost of these items. If you would like to make a donation online, go to https://stgertrude.weshareonline.org/ws/opportunities/Other/donate. Please type “Rosary Confraternity” in the comment box.
