Ordination Mass Homily of Archbishop Di Noia

On May 20, 2017, seven Dominican friars were ordained to the priesthood at St. Dominic’s Church in Washington, DC by Archbishop Augustine Di Noia, O.P.: Fr. Bonaventure Chapman, O.P., Fr. Thomas Davenport, O.P., Fr. Joachim Kenney, O.P., Fr. Jacob Bertrand Janczyk, O.P., Fr. Luke Hoyt, O.P., Fr. Alan Piper, O.P., Fr. Edmund McCullough, O.P. During the Mass, the Archbishop preached the following homily:

Eight Novices to Make Simple Profession

It is with great joy that the Province of St. Joseph announces the simple profession of its eight novices!
The profession will take place on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, August 15th at 11:30 AM in St. Gertrude Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

A list of the brothers making profession can be found on the announcement card, below.

Dominican Ordination – 2016

Eleven Dominican brothers will be ordained to the Priesthood Saturday May 21st, at 9:30am, at the National Basilica in Washington.

The Ordination Mass will be televised on EWTN, which may be a first for the network!

With this year marking the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Dominican Order, it will be an especially meaningful Mass.

Christmas Caroling: Dominican Style

All parishioners are warmly invited to join the Dominican Novices and Dominican Laity for Christmas Caroling in our neighborhood, on Friday, December 11. Please gather in the school cafeteria at 7:00pm.

God’s Generosity: Men Accepted for the 2015 Novitiate


The Dominican Province of St. Joseph is grateful to God for these men who have been accepted for the 2015 Novitiate class. They began their novitiate on the feast of St. Dominic on August 8, 2015 in St. Gertrude Priory in Cincinnati. Please pray for them!

2015 Profession Mass

Please join us on Saturday, August 15 the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary for the Conventual Mass at 11:30am.


Our nine novices who have completed their novitiate year will make simple profession in the hands of our provincial Fr. Ken Letoile, officially become friars of the Order of Preachers, and then take their leave of us for their studies in Washington, D.C.

A reception will follow in the gym.
