Knights of Columbus - Habitat for Humanity Project 2018

Update:

Please join the Knights of Columbus at our Social on Tuesday, August 21 at 7:00pm in the Knights Hall (Parish Center Basement) to hear about all the good work done by Habitat for Humanity. Our speaker will be Maria Santiago, Faith Relations Development Officer.

St. Gertrude Parishioners are invited to join Habitat for Humanity and the Knights of Columbus in building a Habitat house.

We are part of the Madisonville Church Coalition of Habitat for Humanity and are in need of volunteer Habitat builders. Please mark your calendars for the following volunteer work days at 6003 Sierra St. in Madisonville:

  • August 4
  • September 15
  • October 20
  • November 17

For those who are new:

  • We get started around 9:00am and could go as long as 4:00pm, but you can work whatever hours needed
  • Lunch is provided. The Madisonville Coalition Churches take turns providing lunch
  • Water is provided, but it’s still a good idea to bring your own
  • All tools and hard hats are provided by Habitat but you may want to bring your own tool belt, tape measure, pencil
  • No experience necessary!
  • Knowledgeable Habitat builders provide direction and instruction.
  • Volunteers age 16+ are welcome; age 16-17 requires parental supervision.
