Disney’s The Lion King Jr. Presented By St. Gertrude School Players

St Gertrude Players invite you to join them on an adventure to the African Savannah. The Lion King Jr is a mythic coming of age tale of a young lion cub’s journey to adulthood and acceptance of his royal destiny. The Savannah will come to life as the young cub interacts with his father Mufasa, The King of the Jungle, Sarabi, his mother, Nala, Simba’s childhood friend, Zazu, the King’s majordomo, Scar, his evil uncle and the bumbling pair of Pumbaa, the warthog and Timon, the meerkat. Simba must find the courage to accept his responsibility and restore his home, a ravaged Pride Land and fulfill his destiny to be king. The Lion King is a story of love and redemption that the whole family will enjoy!

Disney’s The Lion King Jr opens Saturday February 17 at 2:30 and 7:30 and Sunday February 18 at 2:30 at Medert Auditorium, Madeira High School.

As a special treat the audience will be able to attend a “meet and greet” with Simba, Nala Mufasa, Scar, Zazu, Pumbaa, Timon and other characters after the Saturday Matinee. The cast will be available for photos and autographs.
