The claim that sets the Judeo-Christian thought world apart from every other mode of religious thought is this: that in the beginning, God created all that is out of nothing. From that comes our sense of who God is, who we are, how perfectly we were made, and what the consequences of sin are. This is the first act with which the drama of salvation begins.
