Gift of Life Layette - Thank You

On behalf of the Pregnancy Center at Old St. Mary's in Over-the-Rhine and the Sharonville Women's Center, a heartfelt thank you to St. Gertrude's Parish for your tremendous generosity! The Pack 'n' Play was filled many times over with much-needed baby items. Among them were 68 pkgs of diapers, 67 pkgs of wipes, 25 blankets, 24 hand-knitted hats/booties, over 100 sleepers/outfits, jackets, coats, bibs, formula, baby food, bottles, pacifiers, and more. Coupons valued at $47 and $32 in cash was donated.

Catholic Men's Fellowship - Advent Retreat 2017

Update 10/30/2017

The 2017 annual Catholic Men’s Advent Retreat, sponsored by the St. Gertrude Men’s Fellowship, will be Friday (12/1 evening) and Saturday (12/2) at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, 5440 Moeller Ave., Cin., OH 45212. Space is available on a “1st Come — 1st Served” basis.

Fr. Martin Martiny, O. P. will serve as our Retreat Master. Our theme is the miracle of the “The REAL Presence” of Christ in the Eucharist.

New Altar Servers Blessing

St. Gertrude Church inducted 29 boys in the St. Joseph the Worker Society for altar servers. They completed more than 10 hours training and are ready to be in the schedule to serve Mass.

Help Needed to Take Down Crosses

We will be removing the Crosses of the Innocents on Friday, November 3 at 8:00am.

It is a pretty quick process. Thanks to any parishioner who can give an hour of their time next Friday morning; we appreciate your support. For more information, contact Tom Hahn at 831-2386.

Support our Veterans!

The Knights of Columbus are taking donations of personal care items for Veterans who are patients at area VA facilities. Donations will be collected after each Mass on Saturday and Sunday, November 11th and 12th. A collection station will be placed in the parking lot entrance to the Church. These items go directly to Veterans and are greatly appreciated!

Items needed are the following and should be individual size:

  • Disposable safety razors
  • Shampoo and Conditioner

Crosses of the Innocents - 2017

Ladies of Charity Planning Meeting

Calling All Ladies of Charity

There will be an organizational meeting on Saturday, September 16 at 10:00 am in the St. Joseph Meetng Room in the Parish Center. We will make our final plans for our Fall Craft Fair, Thanksgiving Food Drive, and Giving Tree activities. Please plan to join us. Invite a friend. Many hands make our work lighter. Any woman who is 18 years or older and is a practicing Catholic is welcome to join.
