Great Adventure Bible Timeline Study
DISCOVER THE "BIG PICTURE" OF THE BIBLE
Sign up now for the much-awaited Great Adventure Bible Timeline
video study with Jeff Cavins, which begins at St. Gertrude Parish
on Saturday, September 6. The study will be held in St. Gertrude
School's "Holy Grill" from 8:45-10:45 a.m. on most
1st and 3rd Saturdays (with some exceptions). Please consult
the calendar of dates on the reverse side for a complete listing
of dates.
Fr. George Schommer, O.P. will facilitate this 24-part series
and supplement the video presentations with additional doctrinal
and spiritual matter.
Child Care: Two well-qualified and experienced adults-along
with trained volunteer student helpers-will provide child care,
complete with snacks, Bible stories, and crafts. The cost is
minimal: $2.00 per child (with a maximum of $5.00 per family)
per week. Children will be cared for in the same building as
the Bible study.
Materials Required: Each participant is required to purchase
a Bible Timeline Study Kit, which includes a Bible Timeline
Workbook, Study Set Questions and Responses, Custom Bible Timeline
Binder, Bible Timeline Chart, Bible Timeline Bookmark, and Memory
Bead Wristband. The kit sells for $44.95. However, arrangements
have been made with The Catholic Shop in Madeira for participants
to purchase the kit at a discounted price.
Each participant will also need to bring a copy of the Catechism
of the Catholic Church and a Bible with him or her to the study.
We recommend either the Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition,
which is used in the Catechism, or the New American Bible, which
is used in the liturgy.
Concerned you may not be able to make every study? Not to worry.
A lending library CD may be borrowed to bring you up to date.
Of course, you will miss Fr. George's fantastic supplemental
input, so you won't want to miss too often!
