The St. Gertrude Catholic Men's Fellowship aims to encourage
men to gather within their parish communities to support each
other via, prayer, sharing and fellowship. There are now over
200 such parish groups in the greater Cincinnati area (see the
Cincinnati Catholic Men's Fellowship web site at http://www.thecall.org).
St. Gertrude's Men's Fellowship Group meets every 2nd and 4th
Saturday in the school cafeteria from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. Coffee
and doughnuts are served and we promise to start and end promptly.
If you would like more information, please call Kevin Lynch
at (513) 746-1937.
The Catholic Men's Fellowship, founded over 20 years ago by
four men in Cincinnati, has grown to a point where over 75,000
men have participated in at least one of its activities on a
national basis. One of the original founders, Kevin Lynch (a
parishioner here at St. Gertrude's Parish), is Co-Founder of
the Catholic
Men's Fellowship of Greater Cincinnati and Past President
of The National
Fellowship of Catholic Men.
The largest gatherings have taken place each spring when the
"ANSWER THE CALL" Men's Conferences usually occur.
The first of these conferences was staged at St. Gertrude's
in October, 1995 when over 450 men filled our Parish Center
and then capped the day off with Mass led by Archbishop Pilarczyk.
Our most recent "ANSWER THE CALL" Conference was
held on March 20, 2010. Thousands of men attended at the beautiful
Music Hall in Cincinnati that day. Many participated in the
Sacrament of Reconciliation with dozens of Priests and one of
the area Bishops hearing confessions. Typically, Archbishop
Pilarczyk and Covington Bishop Foys concelebrate Mass with many
the Priests and Deacons in attendance.
