Confraternity of the Holy Rosary

The Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary is a spiritual association of Catholics throughout the world who commit to pray at least the original fifteen mysteries of the rosary every week for the rest of their lives, and to include in their intentions with each rosary the intentions of every other member of the Confraternity worldwide. Members benefit in this life and the next from the prayers of every other member of the Confraternity, from a share of the prayers and good works of the Dominican Order, and, by special promise of the Blessed Virgin herself, from the intercession of the entire court of Heaven. Members also have special opportunities to receive plenary indulgences seven times a year. Being a spiritual association, members are not required to attend meetings, but a subset of the members at St. Gertrude do meet to pray and to work to promote the Rosary and Confraternity. The solemn enrollment ceremony for new members in the St Gertrude chapter is typically held in May and October. Those wishing to enroll are strongly encouraged to participate in the solemn enrollment ceremony, but new members can be enrolled at any time.

Membership: Open to any Catholic above the age of reason. It is preferred, but not required, that members have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Members commit to pray at least the original fifteen mysteries of the rosary each week for the rest of there lives and to include in their intentions with each rosary the intentions of every other member of the Confraternity worldwide. This commitment does not bind under pain of sin.
