Ministry to the sick and house-bound

St. Gertrude has a comprehensive system of caring for our elderly and shut-ins through the help of extraordinary lay ministers of the Eucharist. By calling the "St. Gertrude Careline", our sick and shut-ins are able to receive communion once a week and are visited by a priest once per month for other sacramental needs. Please call St. Gertrude in order to obtain the phone number for the St. Gertrude Careline. If you know a sick or shut-in Catholic within parish boundaries who would like to receive communion, please call the St. Gertrude Careline and notify us. Likewise if you know a parishioner who will go into the hospital, please help us by calling the parish offices. It is possible to call after hours and leave a message on our secretary's voice mail (561-5954 x104).

Alternatively, you can download and fill out a St. Gertrude Parish Visitation of the Sick Ministry Request form and fax or return it to the parish.
