A Message From Fr. Henry Regarding the Dominican Rite Mass

Sunday’s Special Intention Mass in the Dominican Rite

3 May 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It was a true privilege to offer a special Mass last week for our health care workers and first responders. To do so in our classical Dominican Rite was an added pleasure! I offered this Mass for more than 200 people whose names you submitted online in the days before. I brought this list with me to the altar, and all the friars are keeping them especially in prayer during these extraordinary days.

This Sunday, 3 May 2020 (12PM EST), the special Mass will be offered for those in nursing homes and care centers. You’ll be able to submit names in the same way, and we’ll make simple Mass cards you can email or post to your loved ones and friends.

We remember you and your intentions at every Mass we offer here at St. Gertrude’s, but it’s a powerful witness of our community’s love to pray in a special way for those most affected by the crisis. Thank you for sharing the love of Christ so generously!

Yours Faithfully,

Fr. Henry Stephan, O.P.
