Celebration Holy Week with Your Family: Holy Week Resources
Holy Week Family Resources
Our Director of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Cindy Wurzelbacher, has compiled a wonderful list of resources for Holy Week. Below is the Flocknote Email Cindy shared with the St. Gertrude Religious Formation community.
Thank you Cindy!
Within my (Cindy’s) formation for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, catechists are constantly reminded to focus on the essential message of each presentation we do. Essential is the buzz word these days on defining who must work outside the home (THANK YOU to those people!)
Here we are approaching Holy Week. Holy Week is the most ESSENTIAL part of the liturgical year. We remember the passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus’ love and mercy abounds!
We are providing several resources for you. Our challenge to you is to truly carve the time to prayerfully participate in Holy Week. How different it will be this year. There is tremendous sadness and grief in not being able to come together as a church at this time. Our prayer is perhaps we will more fully encounter Jesus in a deeply profound way. Our souls yearn for the day we can receive Him again in the Eucharist. Until then, let us pray.
Below, we’ve included two different resources for you to pick and choose from to enter into Holy Week with your family. In addition, we’ve included a link to watch live Mass streamed from St. Peter in Chains Cathedral in Downtown Cincinnati.
Holy Week Resources
Ideas to engage the family in prayer every day of Holy Week! This is not meant to replace the liturgy, but it provides beautiful opportunities for prayer and discussion.
