Sponsored every year by the Seeker Kids in memory of their parents, Jerry and Shirley Seeger, our 2021 Golf Ball Drop took place on Saturday, August 21, at our parish picnic—and it was a huge success! The Madeira/Indian Hill Fire Department used one of their ladder trucks to raise a bag of 756 golf balls (the total numbers of golf balls purchased) in the air and then dropped them over a golf-ball-size hole in the church’s front lawn. Congratulations to Connie Jordan whose golf ball, number 206, was the first ball in the hole! Connie was awarded the grand prize of $1,000 cash, which was donated by the Seeger Kids. (Connie was not present at the event.) After the Golf Ball Drop, children at the picnic helped pick up all the golf balls. The two children who found balls number 1 and number 756 each won a $15 gift card to Dairy Queen. Thank you to everyone who purchased golf balls to support St. Gertrude Church! Comments are closed.
